Date Night.

When Brendon and I decided to we wanted to have a baby, we promised that we would always make time for ourselves. We vowed that we would go out on date nights and spend time talking to each other about topics other than the adorable things our baby did that day or the milestones he or she was reaching. If you are a parent, you know how ridiculously hard that is because well…you love their faces and become totally obsessed with them.

Luckily, we have been blessed with a baby that sleeps like a champ, so our “alone time” is often on the couch watching our favorite show with a drink in hand. Most of the time, this is my ideal date night. Yoga pants, wine and our DVR. YAAAAAASSSSS please! However, from time to time it is nice to actually get dressed and change the scenery.

A while ago we won some tickets to see our favorite comedians, The Impractical Jokers. Ironically, this is the show we spend most of our on the couch “date nights” watching. Anywhooo, this was our opportunity for a really special night out, so I decided to roll the dice and take some of my newest purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale out for a night on the town.

We had such an amazing time together! We stuffed our faces at our favorite Asian Fusion restaurant Red Lantern, laughed a lot, played the slots (penny machines of course. We all know I have a shopping addiction to support) and spent some much needed quality time together.
