Three years ago, Brendon and I took a “mini moon” the day after our wedding to New York City. We happened to get married on August 23rd, which also happens to be a few days before I had to go back to school. Getting hitched so late into the summer, we weren’t able to go on a traditional honeymoon so we decided to visit our most favorite place in the world. I’ve had the privilege to travel to some really beautiful places in my life, but there is no place like the greatest city on earth…I refuse to refer to it as “The Big Apple” #sorrynotsorry.
I am not talking about the Time Square, bus tour, Empire State building New York (not that that isn’t fantastic), I’m talking about places you go looking for celebrities who are trying to live “just like us” but don’t want to be bothered. Side note: We ran into Jonah Hill walking his dog while we were out getting coffee. I think I broke Brendon’s hand trying to get his attention! Sorry babe. It was the only way I could control my inner fan girl. So yea, that’s the New York we like to visit.
Anywhoooo, this trip was our first official night away from Landon so we were excited to do some “infant free” things. I cried my eyes out for the first 20 minutes on our way to the train station, but as I suspected it was harder on me than it was on him. It was so awful leaving him, but it was soooooo nice to drink wine on rooftops and walk to dinner at 10pm at night. Oh and sleep…yea I missed that!

Sweaty selfie on the steps of the New York Public library. I waited for B and S to show up, but no dice.

What can I say? He's my SOLEmate.

We were in search of a particular piece of street art. It had already been covered up, but we came across these amazing OBEY pieces by Shepard Fairey!

Good thing we walked a lot because we ate A LOT. Hey, when in Rome...or at EATALY.
Whatevs, Same same.

I wonder if Mario Batali would let me live on the rooftop of Eataly ?? Will work for cheese...and wine.

Thank you Little Cupcake Bakeshop! Your "Blackout" cupcake has forever changed my life.

Due to the weather, this is not my most fashionable post, however I spend the entire weekend wearing FRAME denim. They are so comfortable and are now new obsession!!
