As a Virgo, I am a natural planner. I would be lying if I didn't say I like organizing and being in charge when it comes to planning ANYTHING. All of the events leading up to my own wedding were micromanaged and planned down to the very last detail by yours truly. My mom always says I ruin any and all surprises because I am too involved. Hey! It's my curse and I own it!
Last year, when my mom got engaged, I immediately thought of THE DRESS. One of my favorite memories of my entire life, was picking a wedding dress with my mom. I will never forget the look on her face when I came out in "the" dress. I remember it was mostly pure joy with a little panic mixed in. Joy because I was her first born standing there in a wedding dress, and panic because "the dress" happened to be a full price Amsale gown. P.s. I am a firm believer that the dress chooses you.
Because this is not her first wedding, my mom was very nonchalant about her dress. She was in no hurry and really gave no thought to it, until we started planning the wedding. As the details began to come together, her dress became more important. When it came time to go shopping we thought back to the experience I had when buying mine. There was no doubt about it, we would start at The White Dress by the Shore in Clinton, CT. The women there live and breathe weddings and truly make every girl feel like a princess.
As most brides do, she went in thinking she had settled on a style. Being the crazy person that I am, I forcefully nudged her out of her box and of course the one that brought the most tears was a dress that was COMPLETELY different than she originally planned on wearing.
I am proud to say that she said "Yes" to the dress and it is stunning. Being able to to share in such a special moment will forever remain in my heart. I can't wait for you guys to see it!

I am dying over all of the texture and beading on these gowns! I wonder if I can put this
lilac and sequin gown to use??

While we were there, they had mini hair trials for the brides to help them better envision
their wedding day look.

I couldn't resist throwing in a picture of my little buggy! It looks like he is searching for his future bride!!
(Note: No woman will ever be good enough! jk)
