It is hard to believe that Valentine's Day has already come and gone! Our little buggy was 4 weeks old last V-Day so we didn't do much. Since we have moved to CT from Boston, it has been really nice being able to go out on an occasional date night because we have our family
Happy Valentine’s Day ladies! I can’t believe it has already come and gone! Could it already be time for Cadbury mini eggs?! Honestly, I don’t think my waistline can handle all of this excitement. Anyway, I digress.
Last year we had a four week old and we didn’t do much for Valentine’s Day. Things have been super crazy for us lately, so I decided to bribe my sister with pizza and cuteness to babysit while the hub and I had a date night.
I wish I could post pictures of a really adorable outfit that I wore (I had a tutu in mind), but it was LITERALLY -1 degree when we left the house, so it was jeans and boots for this mama. We started the night off at a restaurant down town called Elm City Social. The food was great, the drinks were fantastic, the headless teddy bears were…oh yea, you read that correctly. OpenTable neglected to inform me that there would be a zombie apocalypse themed dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day, so the bloody bartenders, “Cadavers & Main Courses” menu, and Korn blasting in the background made for a truly romantic evening! Not really, but none of that stuff really mattered. I was just glad to be able to share a meal and spend some real quality time with my man. We headed to a movie after dinner. Leslie Mann is my spirit animal so How To Be Single was obviously the only movie I was going to see on our one night out. Trust me. See it, love it.
The rest of the weekend was spent brunching, snuggling with my boys and trying to stay warm which is really all I wanted for Valentine’s Day. I hope cupid was good to you all!
